TouchOSC: Ableton Live MIDI Effects Controller (ClyphX Pro Users)

REQUIREMENTS

• Established MIDI and OSC Connection between TouchOSC and Ableton Live

• ClyphX Output installed with proper OSC Settings in ClyphX Preferences text file.

INSTALLATION

• Open MIDI Effects Encoder Bindings.txt the text file included in the download

• Select All and Copy

• Navigate to the nativKONTROL folder and open the main Encoder Bindings text file (not the XT Scripts) and paste.

• Save the text file, exit and open or restart Live

This TouchOSC layout os designed for MIDI control of Ableton Live MIDI Effects on a touchscreen, iPad, or tablet with added bidirectional feedback via ClyphX Pro OSC Output. Template includes dedicated pages for the Arpeggiator, Chord, MIDI Envelope, Note Echo, Note Length, Pitch, Random, Scale and Velocity. Many parameters are fully exposed for a level of control unlike any other controller. Ideal for the studio or jamming in a a live setting.

The current version of TouchOSC includes an integrated Editor mode for the need to expand the control, duplicate a page or adjust the MIDI assignments. More on connecting and installation at here
